Fairford & Kelmscott Manor, Oxfordshire
We visit the town of Fairford and the local church where we shall be shown the beautiful stained glass and after taking lunch there we shall visit Kelmscott Manor. This grade one listed Tudor farmhouse was the summer home of William Morris from 1871 until his death in 1896. The Manor and gardens lie adjacent to the River Thames and are now owned by the Society of Antiquaries.
Coach departs 9am, Avenue Road. Cost £22 including admission.

Lechlade & Buscot Park at Faringdon, Oxfordshire
We visit Lechlade where we take lunch and then travel a short distance to Buscot Park. The late 18th century Palladian House is home to Lord Faringdon's collection of fine and decorative arts from the Renaissance to the Pre-Raphaelite era. The magnificent landscaped gardens and water features are an outstanding feature of this visit. The visit will present good photographic opportunities, so it is recommended that you bring your camera. It may also be of interest to people interested in the history of Malvern for Buscot Park was the childhood home of the tragic figure of Florence Bravo. White Ladies & Boscobel House, Shropshire
It was to White Ladies Priory and then Boscobel House, an old hunting lodge belonging at that time to the Catholic Gifford family, that Charles II hid after his defeat at the Battle of Worcester. You will see the rooms where a future King of England took refuge from soldiers of Cromwell's New Model Army. The probable descendant of the famous Royal Oak tree is nearby.

The Wells of Llandrindod Wells, Powys
This visit is timed to coincide with the town's annual Victorian Festival celebrations. Bruce Osborne, who has written a book on Llandrindod, will be giving background information on the history of this interesting spa town, together with a guided walk. There will be free time to explore the various celebration activities. Victorian costume is certainly an option for this visit which promises to be fun as well as being informative and interesting.

Tetbury & Westonbirt Arboretum, Gloucestershire
The Society's tree expert is Dudley Brook who has kindly agreed to show us round the National Arboretum clothed in all its Autumnal glory. Earlier we will visit the Cotswold market town of Tetbury where we shall take lunch.
