BLUE PLAQUES
The Society has been given a grant from the District Council to put up a number of blue plaques in Malvern. The plaques will commemorate the links with well known people. The first of the plaques has been agreed for the Unicorn Inn in Worcester Road with the following wording:
The second plaque has been agreed for Aldwyn Towers and its links with Franklin D Roosevelt:
The paperwork for these two plaques has been submitted to the District Council for planning permission and we hope to be able to erect them before too long. Agreement is being sought for a number of others in the course of the year.

Membership
We are pleased to announce that the gratifying upsurge in membership numbers reported last year is continuing.
Our membership has now reached the 250 target set by the Chairman in January 2005. We do want to increase our membership further. We want more people to enjoy our programme and of course more members brings us greater influence in helping the people of Malvern improve the town and surrounding area. Thank you for your efforts in encouraging newcomers to join our Society.
